Chomesh
Documentary - In production
In the north of Samaria, in the settlement of Chomesh, which was destroyed during the disengagement, at any given moment, contrary to the law and the policy of the army, young men studying at the Chomesh yeshiva are staying. They live in harsh terrain conditions all year round. They have been sleeping in caves in the rain and in blistering heat for 14 years. Who are the rabbis and the guys who are willing to live in conditions that are not conditions, to study Torah from sunrise to sunset, without electricity, water, and a roof over their heads? An unimaginable reality is the everyday life of a group that chose to live differently. The film will describe the extent of the phenomenon and the way of life in the five-year period and will trace the ideological, religious, and political motives. The film documents a fascinating phenomenon of ideologues/dreamers/delusions who write their own chapter in the story of the settlement in Samaria every day.
